Dollar Bay Beach

Dollar Bay Beach is a beautiful small beach in a isolated location on the Hook Peninsula in County Wexford.

Dollar Bay may be an ideal filming location for filmmakers who need a beautiful beach in a rugged location. The small beach has golden sand and calm, light blue waters. But the beach is surrounded by rugged, grass covered cliffs and the land around the cliffs mostly comprises of pasture. The view across the bay is also of rugged hills. All this together gives the lovely beach a lonely and isolated feeling.

The beach’s unusual name comes from a local legend that a large treasure is buried somewhere in the sand.
