Kilmokea House
Features
Kilmokea House is a medium sized period house now used as a hotel in south west County Wexford, Ireland.
The house may be an ideal filming location for scenes set in a modern country house or scenes set in a rural hotel. The early 19th century building has a straightforward and charming exterior. The interior has many quaint bedrooms, living spaces and dining rooms, with each room having a slightly different feel. The location has a fairly large garden, with ponds, paths, flower beds, unusual dovecote, and even an adjoining cemetery.
Built around 1810 and originally used as a glebe house for Whitechurch parish. The location was renovated in 1997 and used as a hotel since then.
As well as the hotel in the main house, a renovated coach house is also used for self-catering accomodation. The house has a sauna, gym area, and swimming pool. A Georgian-era conservatory is used as a dining area for the hotel. The hotel holds outdoor theatre events in the summer. Located 1km away from Barrow Rail Bridge.
