Carrigfoyle Quarry is a disued quartzite quarry near Wexford town.
The former quarry has been reclaimed by nature and is now a beautiful and scenic area that offers a lot of options for filmmakers. It feautres a serene man-made lake, dramatic cliffs, striking views of the surrounding environs, and expansive pine woodland. The stone of the former quarry is partly composed of quartzite and other minerals, which gives the exposed stone cliffs a striking and exotic look.
Located in the old quarry is Forth Mountain, a tall rocky outcrop. The rock overlooks the man-made lake and offers great views of the surrounding forest.
