Ballycullane Railway Station
Features
Ballycullane Railway Station is a disused train station in west County Wexford, Ireland.
The location consists of a raised platform and a single rain shelter. The platform is visible from a nearby road bridge that may give filmmakers a good vantage point to get elevated shots of the location. The station was an unstaffed halt and was accessible by a ramp. The former rail stop has an especially liminal feel due to its isolated position at the edge of the village.
The Great Southern and Western Railway originally opened the station in 1906. But the line between Rosslare and Waterford was closed to passenger traffic in 2010, and the station was closed. However, Iarnród Éireann still maintains the track that runs past the station.
