Campile Railway Station
Features
Campile Railway Station is a disused train station in west County Wexford, Ireland.
The location consists of a raised platform and a single rain shelter. The former train stop has a liminal feel due to its isolated position. It is the last former station on the line before it crosses over to Waterford on the Barrow Bridge.
The Great Southern and Western Railway originally opened the station in 1906. But the line between Rosslare and Waterford was closed to passenger traffic in 2010, and the station was closed. However, Iarnród Éireann still maintains the track that runs past the station.
