Wexford Railway Station
Features
Wexford railway station is a railway station in Wexford town.
The station may be an ideal filming location for scenes set in a small train station. The 19th century station is small and simple, but has intimate charm and fine details. The exterior of the building is of a quaint shape and has playful details like the terracotta ridge tiles on the roof and and decorated gables. The most interesting feature of the station is the 19th century glass canopy that protects the platform.
The train station has a single platform and a passing loop, and it is is on the Dublin–Rosslare railway line. It was built in 1891. The building forms one end of Redmond Square and faces the green at the centre of the square. It is located near Wexford Bridge and Wexford Quay.
