St Catherine’s Church, Churchtown
Features
St Catherine’s Church, Churchtown is a ruined church in south east County Wexford, Ireland.
The ruins may be an ideal filming location for scenes that need a historic religious location. The location has parts of a medieval church, a 19th century church, and a 19th century graveyard. The site is surrounded by trees. The ruins are worn, aged, and the graves are lichen spotted. The former Anglican Church was built in a Gothic medieval style, so it’s difficult for a layperson to identify which parts of the structures are medieval and which are Victorian.
The 19th century church has unusual arches along one side. These arches could allow for visually interesting shots of the church and surrounding graveyard.
