Edenvale Woods
Features
Edenvale Woods is a riverside forest with waterfalls in south County Wexford.
The woods may be an ideal filming location for scenes that need a forest with visual character. The most interesting feature of the location are the short waterfalls seen on the River Sow. Two of these falls are next to each other. Most of the falls are wide and short. But one waterfall is taller and has a particularly picaresque appearance.
A riverside walk travels through the woodlands and leads past the falls as well past a 19th century mill and a stone bridge. The moss-covered ruins of the mill are quite charismatic and the bridge is a good companion to it. Also on site is a water pumping station.
