Lights, Camera, Access

Join us on April 25th for our flagship industry event, Lights, Camera, Access: From Script to Screen, Wherever You Are. A day of masterclasses and seminars about regional screen creativity and production, that is designed to open doors, break down barriers, and to bring the industry to you.

Overview

Bodecii Film and Women in Film & Television Ireland, in association with Screen Wexford and Screen Ireland, present Lights, Camera, Access: From Script to Screen – Wherever You Are – a full day industry event at the National Opera House, Wexford, on April 25th, from 10am to 5.30pm.

Whether you’re a writer, a director, producer, or an emerging creative, this event is designed to help you break into the industry, regardless of where you’re based or your level of experience.

The day will start with a masterclass on applying for funding by Wexford Screen Writers Academy.

Then the team behind BBC and Virgin Media television show Dead & Buried will present a case study and panel discussion on how regional production helped Dead & Buried get made.

This will be followed by another case study from the team behind the feature film Feed which will give insights into development, production, and funding.

The seminars will finish with a panel discussion from industry commissioners and funders, who will outline the types of projects that they’re looking to support. This will feature executives from BBC NI, and Screen Ireland and more.

A wine and canapés networking event will close the evening.

Lights, Camera, Access will give attendees insight on how the screen industry operates and how they can break into the industry themselves. It’s for those at the beginning of their screen career, those changing course, or for those at the edge of the industry trying to break in. You’ll be able to learn real world information from creators who have made successful and impactful television and film productions in Ireland’s industry. And with the attendance of major broadcaster executives and film funders, this event will give unprecedented in the room access and insight for attendees.
