ARCHIVE EDITING MASTERCLASS WITH MICK MAHON
Remixing the archive is back this year following on from our first successful edition in 2021. This workshop is a wonderful opportunity for ambitious early stage career filmmakers and artists working with the moving image to engage imaginatively with the enormous untapped potential of archive film, and to learn to integrate it into their films. 10 aspiring / early stage filmmakers will work with remarkable footage from celebrated Irish and UK film archives from the BBC, the Irish Film Institute (IFI), Northern Ireland Screen, the British Film Institute (BFI) and local archive through the Make Film History project. Participants will respond by making a short 1-3 minute self-reflexive film in response.
